If you’re shopping for used cars, you may have noticed that some of the vehicles on our lot are referred to as “Certified Pre-Owned” instead. There are actually some big differences between a CPO car and a typical used car though, and the experts here at I.G. Burton Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM of Smyrna would be happy to tell you all about them.

A Comprehensive Inspection

Not just any used car can become a Certified Pre-Owned Chrysler model. Each CPO model needs to pass a 125-point inspection. Factory-trained mechanics look at each car inside and out, and if they cannot match our highest standards, they simply do not get certified.

Warranty Coverage

Each CPO model also comes with warranty coverage. There’s a seven-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty that will still be active, and you can also opt for additional coverage like a three-month, 3,000-mile maximum care coverage plan. We’re confident about the quality of these vehicles, and we back them up.

A Vehicle History Report

Some drivers are wary of used cars because they do not know exactly what they have been through. We get that, and that’s why every Certified Pre-Owned car at our dealership also comes with a complete vehicle history report from CARFAX®. You’ll know how many previous owners a car has had, whether it was in any accidents or damaged, and if it was used for personal or commercial purposes.

Satellite Radio

Each certified model also comes with a free trial of SiriusXM® satellite radio. A three-month subscription is on us, and then you can decide to keep subscribing if you really like it.
